Demographic and social characteristics

 

Paraíba is a Brazilian state located in the Northeast of the country, known for being Ponta do Seixas, the easternmost point of Brazil and the Americas. In its territory, the climate is predominantly tropical, semi-arid, and the Paraíba hinterland is considered one of the driest regions in the country.
The state has around 4 million inhabitants, and the form of state government is based on the Three Powers.

In relation to the economy, development is anchored in agricultural activities and also in the clothing and footwear industries, also counting on a very rich culture, with emphasis on the June festivals, with São João de Campina Grande being considered one of the best in Brazil.
